Senior Tax Accountant - Public Accounting

Role:
A large national public accounting firm with offices all across the US is looking for a tax accountant to join their team at the senior level. If you’re a public accountant that is looking for a solid work/life balance, great working atmosphere, and career growth then this is the opportunity for you. This position will be responsible preparing tax returns, researching tax issues, working with outside contacts (clientele, vendors, authorities, etc.), as well as working crossing functionally with internal audit, tax, and accounting professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Individual, Partnership, corporate and estate as well as trust tax returns
- Preparation and filings for Federal, State, estate/trust and Local taxes
- Performs tax research and works with clients on tax planning and implementation
- Assists with gathering and preparing information for state and federal audits
- Interact with Federal, state, and local authorities to resolve any tax related issues
- Demonstrates ability to propose solutions to client issues
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2-6 years of relevant experience
- Progress towards or a current certified public accountant (CPA) is preferred
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team (both as a team leader and team member)
