Controls Engineer Technician
Duties and Responsibilities
- Modification of machine control programs including, but not limited to, PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, robotic systems, and motion control systems.
- Modification of panel layouts and wiring schematics.
- Travel to customer sites to install new machines and troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and programming on existing machines.
- Train customer personnel in the setup and use of Omega machines.
- Ongoing training as needed to keep technicians up to speed on current electrical and programming standards.

- Working knowledge and hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly as well as the ability to operate machine and hand tools, welding experience a plus.
- PLC and HMI programming skills with special emphasis on Allen Bradley.
- Knowledge of motion control systems including servo motors, stepper motors and drives.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relate to customer needs.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Passport required.
Additional skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals and write routine reports. Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to Microsoft Windows, MS Office, MS Project and Programmable Logic Controllers. The ability to travel 50% via domestic & international.
Key words - Rockwell Automation Allen Bradley PLC’s, RSLogix 5000/500/5, Studio, Factory Talk, Wonderware System Platform, PanelView Plus, RSBizWare RSBatch, etc. SCADA and HMI packages (Intellution, and Wonderware). System Integration, PLC’s, HMI’s. Siemens S7 PLC Systems, C#, .NET, Visual Basic, Servo Controls, Proximity and Photo Sensors.
This position requires an Associate’s Degree and/or other technical training school and/or experience. 3+ years’ hands-on experience. US Citizen, Green Card.
