An excellent Medical Communications agency client of ours is actively in search of a Medical Director or Senior Medical Director with a firm foundation in either promotional medical education, directing client scientific strategy, sound content development & QA/QC experience (i.e. slide deck presentations, manuscripts, abstracts, scientific posters, websites, symposia, advisory boards, editorial boards, speaker training materials, etc..) staff mentoring & management experience a plus but not required.
Position responsibilities & attributes sought:
- This role will provide oversight of all medical aspects for assigned clients including strategy, planning, and implementation on behalf of clients
- Provided strategic and medical support for business development initiatives
- US & global experience a plus
- Work collaboratively with the scientific team to ensure the creation of high quality, accurate medical/scientific content
- Participate in new business efforts from a scientific strategy standpoint.
- Interaction with faculty, clients and/or other key opinion leaders
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Launch experience desired
Qualifications:
- PhD, PharmD, MD, advanced degree with ~ five (5) or more years of experience in a medical communications agency focused in promotional medical education
- Experience managing staff/direct reports a plus, not required
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Microsoft proficient (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other industry software)
