Job Details:
Senior SOX Accountant
Role:
As a Senior SOX Accountant, this person will be reporting to a Controller while working cross functionally with accounting, internal audit, and supply chain accounting. This would include being a lead on accounting projects including SOX, process improvements, controls, fixed assets, general ledger, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the controller on month end close responsibilities
- Perform account reconciliations, general ledger, revenue, fixed asset, and supply chain accounting
- Help drive process improvements, internal controls, and work on special accounting projects
- Be a backup and resource to other accounting functions
- Drive special projects in order to improve efficiencies and effectiveness
- Perform and generate reports for operations, field personnel, other corporate accounting teams, etc.
- Work within the ERP system to generate reports
- Mentor other accountants
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required in Accounting or Finance discipline
- CPA or progress towards is a plus
- 4+ years of prior corporate accounting within a mid-size or large corporate accounting team within a manufacturing or similar industry
- Prior public accounting experience is a huge plus as well
Working Conditions:
This will be a remote position through January. This will have the opportunity to work from home 2 days a week after COVID.
