Job Details:
ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR
Leader in New Jersey electrical construction is looking for a skilled Electrical Estimator.
Responsibilities:
- Read construction drawings and specifications
- Determine total costs for projects
- Prepare bids and Proposals
- Choose appropriate materials, verify prices, check contractors, and calculate profits on a given project
- Utilize effective communication skills to communicate with project managers, customers, and other associates
- Meet with contractors, builders, owners, and engineers on the jobs to bid
- Work with Project Managers to create change orders on project currently under contract as needed
- Assist in setting up budget on contact jobs
Qualifications:
- 5+ years estimating experience
- 1+ years of field experience with electrical installations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
- Computerized/Digital takeoff
- Experience with Accubid software
- Experience with conceptual estimating, low voltage systems estimating, & design/build estimating
- Basic knowledge of current means and method of electrical installations
- Strong computerized estimating skills
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with the NEC
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be able to work independently at times
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
- Willing to learn and be a part of a team
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction
