My client is a highly regarded Electrical Construction firm. They are seeking a Field Safety Manager. Duties include overseeing a safety program for union electricians and subcontractors. Additionally:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Has a safety working knowledge of electrical installation and understands safety protocols/practices associated with electrical work (LOTO, NFPA 70e, ArcFlash, IMSA, NYS, MUTCD, etc.).
• Develops, plans, and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration OSHA, DOT, DOB, EPA, and Hazardous Materials rules and regulations.
• Conducts field safety reviews of the corporate safety program implementation including; safe work practices, hazard communication, fire prevention, Daily JHA briefings and safety documentation, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, materials and equipment.
• Investigates accident, incident and near miss causes and potential health hazards for use by company supervision and outside agencies.
• Inspects worksite facilities to detect existing or potential safety and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
• Serves as safety liaison with client and customers safety representatives.
• Prepares and maintains detailed inspection records.
• Reviews personnel training for documenting safety skills
