Estimator- Civil Construction
Highway Construction- Storm water- Sewer- Structural steel- Roadway, Sitework
A well-established Civil, Roadway/Heavy Highway and Site Development Construction contractor is actively looking to add an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to the team. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Ensure bids, estimates, budgets and jobs are timely
- Perform quantity take-offs and turnkey estimates for heavy construction projects (Heavy/Highway, Heavy Civil projects, Roadway and Utility infrastructure projects etc.)
- Competitive and in accordance with company policies, guidelines and budgetary goals
- Heavy highway /Sitework construction practices, techniques and principles
- Estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing
- Industry estimating software experience
- Civil project estimating experience: (Project Selection, Take-offs, Bid submissions, Budget preparation, Project risk analysis)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience as an estimator/project manager in a civil construction, roadway, sewer, heavy civil, highway or bridge contractor
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Must possess strong communication skills written, electronic and verbal
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and related programs
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience desired
- Experience with Penn DOT, PATPK, NJDOT specifications and standards
