Job Details:
Director of Software Development DevOps
Oversee a team of diverse software engineers.
Hire great engineers, and take an interest in the professional development of your organization.
Manage software development projects by setting requirements, goals and timelines planning and monitoring work schedules to keep projects on track, implementing processes to improve developer efficiency
Design strategies for future development projects based on the company's overall objectives and resources
Develop tools to monitor reliability and performance of all internal and external systems to suggest improvements
Oversee security over all applications, data and processes
Implement innovative technologies
Develop and maintain internal design reviews and guidelines for product development and engineering designs
Set engineering department goals, objectives, KPIs
Required Skills:
Experience as a Director of Software or in a similar senior-level position in an DevOps Department
Expert level of SDLC (software requirements, architecture, design, implementation and delivery)
Experience with cloud technologies
At least 10 years of hands-on experience with programming languages such as C#, Javascript, SQL, etc.
Exposure in environments and frameworks such as Node.js, Express, Serverless, Zappa, React, Vue.js, .NET Core
Good understanding of design patterns and paradigms such as OOP, functional programming, MVC, Microservices, monolithic etc…
Experience working with API technologies such as REST, GraphQL, and SOAP
Experience working with cloud services specifically Azure, AWS, GCP a plus.
Knowledge of DevOps best practices and CICD
Experience with integrations from pub/sub, data pipelines and data integrity
Experience with scalable solutions and tradeoffs with servers, databases, and applications
Leadership abilities with a strategic mind
Excellent project management skills
Experience building and managing technical teams, including hiring and mentoring developers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills when interfacing with technical and non-technical stakeholders
