Zone Transport Manager II
My client is looking to expand their team in Gonzales, Louisiana.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing the Gonzales, LA plant.
- Primarily interacting with the drivers and production staff, mechanics, work with national information center.
- Responsible for KPIs- Safety: scorecards each month, equipment utilization, annual cost reduction, pay load, managing the data that comes in from the drivers. In addition, you will act as Talent acquisition, forecasting, employee management – salaried and hourly employees.
Qualified candidates should have a background in the following:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and Hazmat regulations
- Knowledge of National Labor Relations Board regulations
- Familiar with preventive maintenance programs
- Strong degree of computer literacy
- Familiarity with Distribution systems a plus (Gold, XATA, NeXIS)
- Good communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate with office staff, drivers, mechanics and senior management
- Must have strong coaching skills
