Estimator- Heavy Highway
Road Construction -Civil Construction- Highway Construction-
A well-established Heavy Highway and Site Development Construction contractor is actively looking to add an experienced Estimator/Senior Estimator to the team. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Ensure bids, estimates are timely accurate and competitive
- Perform quantity take-offs and turnkey estimates for heavy construction projects (Heavy/Highway, Heavy Civil projects, Roadway and Utility infrastructure projects etc.)
- Competitive and in accordance with company policies, guidelines and budgetary goals
- Heavy highway /Site work construction practices, techniques and principles
- Estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing
- Industry estimating software experience (HCSS Heavybid, Agtek, Bid2Win software)
- Heavy Highway & Heavy Civil project estimating responsibilities: (Project Selection, Take-offs, Estimating the project from start to finish, Bid submissions, Budget preparation, Project risk analysis)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience estimating in a heavy highway, heavy civil, highway or bridge contractor
- Industry estimating software experience (HCSS Heavybid, Agtek, Bid2Win software)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Must possess strong communication skills written, electronic and verbal
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and related programs
- Stable work history
- BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience desired
- Desired experience with NJTA, NJDOT, and DRPA specifications and standards.
- PA & Delaware experience a plus
