Senior Mechanical Engineer
Role:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, this individual will be responsible for supporting mechanical engineering for capital projects, supporting mechanical integrity, mechanical systems, machinery, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical engineering with a focus on pressure vessels, valves, piping, and other pressure sensitive machinery / equipment
- Design mechanical systems for capital projects
- Develop specifications of equipment; this includes calculations, sizing, follow up inspections on equipment, etc.
- Interface with clients/customers to ensure specifications are met; answer any questions or resolve any issues
- Work cross functionally with engineering, construction, commissioning, procurement, operations, and maintenance to ensure designs, specifications, and project schedules are met.
- Special projects as assigned
- Act as a mentor to other engineers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required in a mechanical / engineering discipline. Master's is a plus
- Prior mechanical engineering experience with pressure vessels is required
- 8+ years of prior mechanical engineering experience. Prior mentorship, supervision or management experience is preferred
- Ability to travel up to 20%
