Financial Reporting Accounting Manager
Role:
As a Financial Reporting Manager, this person will be responsible for managing a team of accountants as well as the day to day financial reporting and accounting functions of this global division. This would include external SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q) SOX controls, regulatory reporting, and accounting close. This position is a highly visible opportunity with opportunity to lead and mentor future leaders within the organization as well as have an impact on the organization through example.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of four financial reporting accountants; train, mentor, review, develop
- Analysis and documentation of technical accounting issues, including new accounting pronouncements, significant transactions
- Leading technical assessment of accounting for new products, operational changes, or other strategic initiatives
- Preparation of financial statements, including supporting disclosures, and coordination of audits
- Establishing and maintaining effective internal controls over financial reporting
- Providing guidance and reviewing work of other accountants as needed
- Ad hoc projects as assigned by the Assistant Controller, CFO and VP of FP&A
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- A completed CPA or CMA; progress towards is highly preferred
- Prior public accounting audit experience is highly preferred. Would consider someone with corporate SEC experience as well.
- Must have prior management or supervisor experience
