PROJECT ENGINEER - HEAVY CONSTRUCTION
My client specializes in underground infrastructure rehabilitation including cement mortar lining, cured-in-place pipe, slip-lining, pipe bursting and heavy construction.
Position Description: Job responsibility includes assisting and supporting project management of water and wastewater contracts. Day to day responsibilities vary based upon the project but generally include material pricing, takeoffs, submittal procurement, scheduling, writing RFIs and coordinating subcontractor activity.
Estimating responsibilities including assisting and performing all pre-bid services by development and preparation of cost estimates for construction projects or services as assigned. Proposed project site visit/assessment; bid document review and completion; take offs; & bid prep. Performs cost estimates for civil and mechanical work specifically related to water and wastewater projects. This position requires a highly professional and organized individual who can work in a fast-paced construction business environment.
The candidate should possess excellent communication skills, problem solving abilities, be able to prioritize, develop and maintain schedules.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering Degree preferred)
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning and communication skills with a commitment to high standards.
