Job Details:
Senior Manager of Technical Accounting
Role:
As a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting, you'll be responsible for managing a team as well as managing the organization's overall financial reporting department. Reporting to a CFO, you'll be responsible for oversight of timely financial reporting and all technical accounting for the organization. This is a strategy focused role that influences all day to day policies, procedures, controls, and systems.
Responsibilities:
Manager, train, direct and mentor a team of technical accountants
Maintain up to date standards for financial reporting and technical accounting
Manage and oversee the valuations and purchase accounting for acquisitions
Manage and oversee the implementation of new accounting policies, procedures, systems as applicable
Oversee the organization's SEC (10-K / 10-Q / 8-K) filings, disclosures, footnotes and technical accounting research
Interface with leadership - FP&A, Accounting, General Counsel, and operations
Assist the VP, Chief Accounting Officer & Controller with assigned projects
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is required
MBA or Master's is a plus
CPA, CMA, CIA is highly preferred
10+ years of progressive accounting experience; more specifically technical accounting
5+ years of management experience is required
Strategic thinking with a personality to work with all levels of employees
