JOB DESCRIPTION
Maintain and troubleshoot Electrical, and high-speed process/ packaging equipment. Will also work around and troubleshoot equipment. This position is a key resource for equipment control system design, installation, debug and commissioning to the plant and facility.
Essential Functions:
1. Identify electrical problems and take lead role in troubleshooting of equipment. 2. Apply PLC skills and knowledge to improve, develop, and troubleshoot PLC program used to run proprietary equipment. 3. Reading and understanding Engineering drawings and manuals to determine system malfunctions and how to troubleshoot. 4. Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing Departments as needed to determine priority of maintenance and repairs backed on works and production schedules. 5. Perform tests and troubleshoot as needed electrical drives requiring PLC editing. 6. Inspects documents and adjusts as needed mechanical equipment used in Web Handling process. 7. Perform routine electrical and AC repair. 8. Perform light fabrication tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required:
• 2-year college degree, technical training or engineering discipline, OR work equivalent. Electrical and AC certifications desired.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment for a commercialized company with short cycle times for delivering results.
• Proven experience reading and understanding Engineering drawings and manuals to assist in effective troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
• Recent hands on experience of industrial PLC editing or programming (Allan Bradley equipment preferred) and troubleshooting of variable speed drives.
