Jr - Mid IT Contracts & Vendor Management Analyst
My client in Philadelphia is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of IT Contract Analyst.
In this role, you will directly support IT department Contracts and Vendor Management focus toward optimizing vendor performance, relationships and strategy. Additionally, this position will work with assigned suppliers to develop, implement and monitor governance processes designed to support a continual service improvement (CSI) framework.
Responsibilities:
Partner with IT, business management and other subject matter experts to lead sourcing initiatives by advising on options, risks, cost analyses, and business impacts
Support IT vendors as assigned with a heavy emphasis on contract renewals including spend and utilization analysis
Conduct supplier negotiations and ongoing supplier management; analyze complex contract proposals and negotiate favorable terms for renewals, SaaS agreements, SOW’s and contingent workers
Advise contract owner on all contract terms to ensure quality and reduce risk
Utilize and promote advancement of the contract life cycle management system (SpringCM) as the point of origination and repository for all
Contracts, License Agreements, Services Agreements, Shrink Wrap Agreements, Order Documents, Amendments, etc.
Monitor supplier performance to ensure that delivery dates and technical and contractual requirements are met
Participate in strategic meetings with suppliers and business leaders to ensure execution of defined strategies
Actively seek ways to streamline contractual and procurement processes, including the potential implementation of a procure-to-pay system
Maintain relevant standards for IT contracts within the Contract Life Cycle system and complete and accurate records of communications with vendors, Legal and contract/agreement versions
Control and support the process flow of IT procurement requests as submitted through the online purchase request application to company standards
Help develop and implement new policies, procedures and contract templates and provide education and training to internal clients.
Maintain and foster positive vendor relationships
Take personal responsibility for putting in the time and effort needed to achieve work objectives
Demonstrate a sense of urgency and a positive attitude when supporting internal customers
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree – (Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain highly preferred) or 2+ years’ experience
Demonstrated experience leading, reviewing and negotiating IT contracts
Effective negotiation skills on price, delivery, and commercial terms and conditions
Demonstrated experience working with IT procurement, contract management, software and hardware vendor management, and IT contract negotiation
Demonstrated experience and comfort working with contract life cycle solutions and other technology that drive process improvement
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources and creating strategies to meet department goals, budgets and established timelines
Strategic thinker with strong technical and business acumen
Self-starter requiring minimal daily supervision
Willingness to handle both routine and complex responsibilities including administrative tasks
Knowledge of IT specific contract language; other contract knowledge a plus
Effective communicator, both written and verbal with the ability to surface concerns when needed
MS Office skills including intermediate to advanced Excel
Preferred, though not required: CPM, CPSM, or A.P.P. through the Institute of Supply Management or CTPS through the Association of Caucus Technology Acquisition Professionals
