TECHNICAL FIELD REPRESENTATIVE (ARCHITECT)
DESCRIPTION
Manhattan based architecture & design studio is proactively looking for an experienced Technical Field Representative to work onsite of a large New York City project. Project will last for 2-3 years and candidate will be reassigned to other projects upon completion.
REQUIREMENTS
The Technical Field Representative will possess BS degree in Architecture and a minimum of five (5) years’ applicable experience. Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering will also be considered. Successful candidate will possess in-depth technical knowledge of commercial construction and strong design, computer and communication skills.
DUTIES
Technical Field Representative will ensure that construction work aligns with the contract drawings and that work meets established standards.
Perform on-site observations.
Report on progress and quality work.
Ensure materials and products entering construction site match approved submittals.
Report if any portion of the work requiring shop drawings, product data or samples has commenced prior to submittal approval.
Report if any inspections have not been coordinated prior to the work proceeding.
Manage, log, maintain and store all project submittals, records, and maintain a log book of construction activities.
Attend, prepare for and participate in meetings and prepare and distribute minutes.
