SENIOR ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR
The Senior Electrical Estimator is a critical role for the company. The senior estimator is a proven leader who works alongside management and plays a critical role in the company's growth by managing the bidding of timely, accurate and comprehensive electrical estimates for challenging electrical construction projects.

Job Details:
The successful Senior Estimator will provide full estimating services on large, complex electrical construction work for new and retro-fit specialty projects. This individual will review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, and other such duties to determine the scope of work and required contents of the project estimate. The successful candidate for this position will also help the company by being a mentor and assisting with the development of junior estimators for future growth within the organization.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate total estimating effort relevant to particular bid or project
Provide Complete conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects
Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc., to determine scope of work and required contents of project estimate.
Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work using Accubid estimating software
Interpret or utilize design completion when drawing or design is unfinished. Team up with engineering when required
Identify any unique quality control provisions or safety requirements required for the project and incorporate related costs into bid
Ascertain any risks related to the estimate in order to guarantee that provisions are made for those risks in the tender
Ensure that estimates are complete, well-organized and ready for review before the given deadline
Coordinate with the field operations team on successful bids to provide a thorough transition to the project team
Follow awarded contracts, as assigned – may include estimating additional work items, change orders, procuring material, etc.
Provide leadership and mentor junior estimators and other members of the Preconstruction group.

Requirements:
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in estimating role on large commercial projects
Proven resource management and critical thinking skills
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Attention to detail and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in information analyzation and decision making
Working knowledge of AccuBid
