Linux Kernel Engineer
My client a global leader is looking for a Kernel Engineer.
Position Description: • As a Linux kernel engineer, debug OS issues. Fix issues and push patch to Linux community. • Linux OS and applications’ development, design and fine-tune based on PC platform and IoT platform • Work with Linux distribution vendors to make sure feature request and bug fix are added in the next release. • Work on kernel feature enhancement or new development and upstream code. • with customer Position Requirements: Basic Requirements • Bachelor degree computer science or relevant experience. • 2+ years experience in Linux kernel level development or debugging. • 2+ years experience programming with C, Python, and shell. Preferred Experience: • Familiar with gdb, kdump to do debug. Programming language including C, Python and shell are required. • Familiar with block device and storage subsystem. Familiar with ext4, xfs, btrfs. • Familiar with x86 or ARM architecture. • Strong software development experience on Desktop OS and IoT OS. • With BIOS background is preferred. Understand ACPI, SMBIOS, PCIE. • With driver development experience is preferred. • Strong analytical ability and debugging skills.
