We are searching for a career minded MEP Plumbing Designer/ CAD Operator/Draftsperson to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
As a Designer/ CAD Operator, you will be responsible for generating and revising high quality construction documents (utilizing CAD/BIM) for HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Systems. Working directly to the design engineers, you will prepare technical drawings and plans for use in submittals.
This position requires a good working knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD/AutoCAD MEP; and the ability to interpret mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection drawings. Must understand and comply with various industry and in-house CAD standards.
Design experience in HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical systems is highly preferred. An EIT is not required.
In addition to producing drawings, the successful candidate will possess skills with project files, drawing libraries, templates and standards.
Required Qualifications and Technical Skills:2+ years of design experience in HVAC, plumbing and/or electrical systems.
A solid foundation in REVIT and/or AutoCAD including Sheet Set Manager.4-year related degree and 1+ year AutoCAD/Revit experience; or 2 year associates degree or completion of a technical trade school in AutoCAD/Revit, drafting or related field and 2+ years AutoCAD/Revit experience; or 3+ years AutoCAD/Revit experience with no formal degree. High School Diploma or equivalent required. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or and engineering consulting firm.
