Job Details:
My client is an international specialty manufacturing company that seeks a Systems Engineer. The Systems engineer provides interdisciplinary problem-solving expertise particularly related to engineering, data acquisition, process control, manufacturing and field service issues associated with canned motor pump design, manufacture and lifetime support. Additional duties include:
- Translate user requirements into software, database or system solutions
- Maintain and upgrade all aspects of pump testing data acquisition systems
- Maintain pump performance test databases including queries and reports
- Interface with IT and Business System Manager in support of enterprise improvement projects
- Write clear, concise and cogent communications and reports
- Be able to travel to customer sites with field service to analyze and solve problems.
Candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a preferred focus in Electronics
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Excel, Access and SQL is required
- Knowledge and/or experience in multiple programing languages (VB6, VB.NET, PLC Ladder Logic, Intel 8052 µProcessor Assembly Language, and C-More)
- Must understand networks, including the various protocols used in networks, like TCP/IP, ethernet, etc.
- Should be familiar with setup and operation of process plant control and distribution systems including 4-20mA signals, DCS, Control Room, Marshalling Cabinets, etc.
