Job Details:
Welding Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer
- Plans, directs, and coordinates Welding/Fabrication processes in plant
- Develops, evaluates, and improves Welding/Fabrication methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
- Analyzes and plans staff utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency
- Works with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure fabrication methods.
- Works with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Works with machine shop, project managers, estimators, ownership and other staff regarding fabrication/welding capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations
- Estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.

Ownership:
The Welding Engineer/Manager will take ownership of all process documentation related to the training, execution, and testing of our Welding/Fabrication processes. The Welding Engineer/Manager will owns the process plan as it relates to fulfillment of job specifications and all applicable codes and standards.
Support:
The Welding Engineer/Manager is supported by the Welding Staff, Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, Machine Shop personnel, QA Inspectors, and Shop Foreman.
