SOURCING ENGINEER - SUPPLY CHAIN
The sourcing engineer is responsible for supporting the purchasing functions within the supply chain in optimizing the supply base quality, cost and lead time through implementation and management of processes targeted at root cause problem elimination, cost reduction, flexibility, and sustainable performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or the equivalent. Master’s degree in engineering or business discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in an engineering, procurement and operations role.
- History of progressive responsibility a plus
- Must be results-oriented and strive to achieve high levels of quality and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to analyze bills of material and drawings to understand key requirements.
- Strong project management skills and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication to all levels of the organization.
- Experienced in quoting, contract negotiations, and contract management with contract manufacturers and suppliers
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Highly adept at Microsoft Office programs and Windows operating system
- Understanding of lean material flow
- Ability to manage multiple timelines, priorities, and responsibilities
- Ability to execute plans
