MARKETING SPECIALIST
Washington DC based architecture & design firm is looking for a Marketing Specialist. Successful candidate will report to the Principals of the firm and will support all staff with graphics and communications.
Successful candidate will have a background, knowledge, and interest in architecture and design, proven writing and verbal skills, experience and facility in graphic design, including all Adobe Suite programs. The candidate should have knowledge of media, electronic and print and interest in current trends in design, real estate, cultural and institutional activities, regionally and nationally. Furthermore, the candidate will:
Generate and format images, graphics, and text for proposals, interviews, award submissions, etc.
Perform research on potential projects, including project background information, building history, and precedents
Prepare responses to requests for proposals, including charts and excel spread sheets, state/federal forms, and graphic layouts
Prepare award submissions, press releases, news items, responses to calls for papers, etc.
Develop and cultivate professional contacts, industry knowledge, and trends and practices in design and architecture
Maintain firm’s marketing files, including project data and graphics, and records
Qualifications
BS Degree
Proven experience in desktop publishing and graphics software (Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel)
Ability to learn and support firm’s graphic style
Excellent attention to detail, and ability to work independently
Understanding of architectural practice and design
Ability to meet multiple deadlines and occasionally work additional hours when required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
