Procurement Sourcing Specialist
My client is looking to expand their team in the Bridgewater, NJ area.
Responsibilities include:
- Processing Raw Material and Factored Product orders.
- Handling internal customer/vendor complaints: Supplier Corrective Action (SCAR) Process. Assist with resolution of billing issues. Raising issues to the appropriate management level, as needed or required.
- Expedite orders as needed for urgent materials.
- Update product information record with pricing and MRP factors.
- Investigate part availability and cost within the SAP system, directly with suppliers or by other means (Thomas Register, Internet Searches, etc).
- Ensure the proper execution of the P2P process: from requisition creation, to PO placement and confirmation, to PO changes, to PO Close
- Negotiation and Management of Spend ($25 Million/yr)
- Analyze internal demand requirements and external market condition to identify areas of opportunity and improvement.
- Manage Messer Electronic and Specialty Product Supplier base with appropriate contracts reflecting end-user customer requirements.
- Lead sourcing efforts with Internal Customers and External Vendors
- Coordinate with regional/global buyers, sales, marketing and operations where appropriate and ensure North America compliance with regional/global contracts
Qualified candidates should have a background in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree a plus
- Minimum 2 years of procurement or supply chain management
- Minimum 2 years of electronic material knowledge
- Self-motivated. Acts independently and wants to do more.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification desired
- Very strong technically: sourcing process, IT systems, negotiating, and supply chain management
