MECHANICAL ESTIMATOR
New York City mechanical contractor is looking for an experienced professional to produce accurate commercial HVAC cost budgets and estimates. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical estimating background with 5+ years of experience. Prior experience in the field is preferred. This position will work directly with management to estimate and bid for projects in our area. The ideal candidate will be able to generate new business relationships for the company.
Responsibilities include estimating equipment and subcontract negotiating and purchasing, labor management, scheduling and project profitability for mechanical systems.
Job Requirements:
5 years of experience in estimating of commercial/industrial mechanical systems.
4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Minimum of 5 years in an estimating/project management role
Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
Demonstrated skills in using computer software programs, including ability to use the Windows operating system, Microsoft Office and an estimating software package (QuickPen, etc.).
Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
