Job Details:
Mechanical Foreman
- Supervise and coordinate the effort of assigned crew, apprentices and journeymen
- Assign specific tasks and duties to each employee and/or team; identify and communicate safety issues/concerns for each task; provide proper PPE for the task assigned
- Attend all project hand-off meetings with the General Superintendent, Estimator and Project Engineers, reviewing blueprints, specifications, materials, equipment, budgets, schedules and manpower
- Review all submittals. Verify quantities, sizes and equipment prior to release
- Provide accurate duct fabrication tickets to General Superintendent for buyout
- Review project schedule with General Superintendent to determine and confirm manpower needs
- Provide detailed material, tools, consumable lists to General Superintendent prior to job start
- Coordinate with other trades on site to eliminate interferences in the field
- Conduct jobsite analysis to identify all safety concerns/areas
- Check in all material and equipment deliveries. Report any shortages to General Superintendent
- Track field labor hours on a daily basis for General Superintendent review
- Review, approve and sign off on all time cards. Submit to the Superintendent for approval and processing
- Capable of reading blueprints and specifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Journeyman in the mechanical/plumbing industry (must test-out or have a Journeyman license)
