Job Details:
Senior Automation Engineer
You will be responsible for leading the detailed hardware and software design of process automation control systems projects. This includes defining architecture requirements, developing detailed software design specifications, programming PLC, DCS and SCADA applications, configuring client server applications, configuring process-based historian databases, providing control system startup and commissioning services, troubleshooting existing control systems and providing control system qualifications. Lead projects from concept through commissioning phases.
Provide control systems design and development for systems of varying complexity.
Develop alternative system solutions that meet stated requirements.
Modify, program, system logic involving multiple systems and sub-systems.
Develop proficiency in several programming languages and control device networks for PLCs, PCs, and/or DCS systems.
Interface with customers to define scope, plans, and deliverables for assigned work.
Be a leader in team environment with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement.
The ability to travel locally and regionally 10-15%.
Technical Skills
Rockwell experience with products such as: ControlLogix, CompactLogix, FactoryTalk Software Suite, Studio 5000, PLC5, SLC500, RSView, PanelView Plus, etc.
Emerson DeltaV experience, and other PLC platform experience Siemens S7, Modicon, etc. SCADA and HMI package experience (GE iFIX, and Wonderware Archestra System Platform) Electrical AutoCAD Design, Knowledge of control system network topology, i.e. Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.
Senior Automation Engineer, Controls, Validation, Systems Integration, work experience in Biotech, Pharmaceutical facilities and their equipment is required. Knowledge of biopharmaceutical processes, GMP, validation, batching systems, bioreactors, mixing tanks, clean utilities, filtration systems, piping and instrumentation P&ID’s.
Senior Automation Engineer - Pharmaceutical/Biotech candidates only. 10/20 plus years industry experience. US Citizen, Green Card, Perm Resident is required.
