Description:

SUMMARY OF PRIMARY FUNCTION

The center of excellence innovation team is chartered to develop the next generation
technologies for our technical products. We create conceptual designs and detailed designs for parts and assemblies. Assure that designs meet customer and regulatory requirements. Assure that designs are sound through use of various types of analysis and test.

We are looking for a self-motivated person to help expand our customers use our products for their applications using the next level of technology for the industry through innovative designs, systems and processes.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Use technical capacity to collect and analyze data, and based on findings, makes
improvements and modifications to current technologies.

Generates and implements test plans for existing or new designs, including form/fit/function, reliability, endurance, dispense accuracy, chemical compatibility, thermal, vibration, stress, and  impact and system measurements.

Participates in diverse areas of R&D and quality initiatives to contribute
innovations, new designs, or new techniques .

Works to ensure that all intellectual property standards are followed.Ensures proper documentation of research activities.Initiates and maintains contacts with key internal and external technical resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

KEY COMPETENCIES

Strong knowledge of engineering principles and analytical background

Experience managing technical projects and/or project teams

Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Ability to formulate and present ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences Background in fluid dynamics and analyzing its respective properties

Experience in research and analysis techniques.

Ability to apply statistical analysis to make sound conclusions.

Generate CAD models and drawings in Solidworks

Well-developed technical report writing and presentation skills.

Ability to multitask and demonstrate time management skills

Goal oriented and self-driven with a desire to “roll up your sleeves” to help the team get the job done.

Knowledge of patent/intellectual property

Able to work alone or on small cross functional teams 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION LEVEL, OR KNOWLEDGE

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

7+ years of experience in product design and development

5+ years working with fluid systems or fluid dynamics

 Experience in Solidworks and Microsoft Office software

Proficiency with statistical analysis software
