Accountant
This position is part of the general accounting team, responsible for posting and reviewing routine and non-routine journal entries in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers; Payroll, closing month and year-end accounting ledgers; preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations; analytical review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial activity; preparation of audit schedules and management reports (recurring and ad hoc); and participates in the drafting of the audited financial statements and footnote disclosures presented in the annual report as well as other financial reports submitted to external parties. This position will support the accounting for the capital assets and construction.
Duties require strong analytical and critical thinking skills, understanding of accounting systems in a highly decentralized and complex organization, knowledge of rules and regulations as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience.

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
2+ years of progressively responsible experience in Accounting including preparations and review of routine and non-routine journal entries; Peoplesoft Payroll, preparation and review of monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations; and preparation and review of audit schedules and management reports
