Benefits Manager
Role:
The Benefits Manager is responsible for managing the benefits program including medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, life, disability plans and the qualified and non-qualified retirement plans. This person will be more of a strategic partner working with the Director and Executive team to help the organization drive and influence change, study the plan and see where the money is being spent, research market trends, claims analysis, implement preventive care processes, and someone that can be proactive with all levels of employees to educate them on their benefits plan.
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior management to manage the benefits program
- Research and identify benefit trends, claims analysis, and the market trends
- Understanding the benefits cost, translating that to trends, and report the information to influence change
- Work with outside vendors and consultants to negotiate benefit plans and insurance renewals
- Monitor employee benefit usage, trends, misuse, etc.
- Work with employees to answer questions on benefits plans, complaints, and help resolve any issues
- Prepare and conduct open enrollment
- Manage a benefits generalist
- Prepare reporting packages
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree is required
- 8+ years of prior benefits management and employee management
- The ability to work cross functionally with all levels of employees
- The ability to influence and drive change within the organization. Prior experience in do so.
- Prior experience with data analysis, market research, analyzing trends, and reporting
