Job Details:
Senior Automation Engineer
You will be responsible for leading the detailed hardware and software design of process automation control systems projects, as well as, defining architecture requirements, developing detailed software design specifications, programming PLC, DCS and SCADA applications, configuring thin client server applications, configuring process based historian databases, tuning control loops, providing control system startup services, troubleshooting existing control systems and providing control system qualifications. Lead projects from concept through commissioning phases.
Experience with Allen-Bradley products required (Control Logix, PLC5, SLC500, RSView, PanelView Plus, RSBizWare RSBatch, etc.) Experience with other PLC platforms (GE Fanuc, Siemens, Modicon), DCS platforms (primarily DeltaV and ABB 800xA) and various SCADA and HMI packages (Intellution, and Wonderware). Experience implementing control system electrical design packages required. Understanding of control system network topology required, i.e. Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc. Experience programming various other control systems preferred (i.e., GE Fanuc Series 90, Siemens S7, DeltaV, ABB 800xA, Honeywell DCS, Intellution iFIX, and Wonderware). Proficiency in troubleshooting control systems and an understanding of process controls. Strong leadership skills, excellent presentation and communication skills.
Key words - Automation Controls Engineering, Systems Integration, Allen-Bradley PLC’s, Rockwell Automation, PLC Code, Siemens S7 PLC, HMI’s, SCADA, DeltaV, AutoCAD Electrical Design. Automation Controls Systems Engineering Integration experience within the life sciences, bio-science, pharmaceutical, medical device, food and beverage, consumer products type industries and/or other manufacturing environments is desired.
B.S. Engineering and/or other technical degree or work experience.
