Proposal & Estimator Engineer
Automation Systems Integrator seeks a deadline and detail-oriented candidate responsible for preparing contract proposal estimates, includes determination of project plans and specifications.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of related experience
- Pre-sale, quoting and system designing role to assist in designing engineered solutions
- Interpret customer engineering specifications and drawings
- Apply established engineering principles to define a creative solution.
- Develop accurate preliminary engineering designs and bill of materials
- Provide electrical design estimation for industrial control panels
- Provide programming estimation for PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications
- Craft preliminary specification and scope of work details for field contractor installation requirements
- Write proposals to accurately reflect the engineering estimate as well as control panels
- Review engineering estimate and proposal with Proposal Manager
- Analyze project specifications to prepare time, materials, and labor estimates
- Expert proficiency with MS Office Suite, Outlook, etc.
- Allen Bradley electrical controls hardware experience
- Rockwell/Allen Bradley PLC, HMI programming
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to operate independently or in a team environment
- Superior client interaction skills
