Machine Repair Technician (2nd or 3rd shift)
Leading Midwest Manufacturer seeks:
- 7+ years experience in Machine Repair field
- Experienced in machining close tolerance parts to a blueprint or reverse engineering
- Ability to operate different types of lathes to make shafts, bearings and cut threads
- Mig, Tig and arc welding also plasma and torch cutting experience is preferred
- Experience with computerized Maintenance Tracking and work order systems (ie CMMS)
- Ability to operate horizontal and vertical mills (Bridgeport preferred)
- Ability to prioritize multiple breakdowns with the help of production supervision
- Work well with a team of skilled tradesman, supervisors and engineers
- Ability to estimate the amount of time to complete any task at hand
- Be able to look at production processes for areas of continuous improvement.
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulics and pneumatics
