Senior Accountant / Auditor
Role:
A local well-respected public accounting firm with multiple offices is looking to add a Senior Associate to their team. As a Senior Associate, you'll work across mid-market clientele throughout several industries as well as collaborate with other tax / audit professionals both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with examining audit records and income statements.
- Participate in audit teams that test internal controls to ensure effectiveness.
- Recognize potential audit issues or unusual relationships from the analysis of complex financial statements and communicate them to the team.
- Inform supervisors of the engagement status and matters.
- Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives and the client’s engagement history.
- Identify gaps, deficiencies or non-compliance in business procedures, processes or systems, and communicate appropriate remedial action.
- Assist tax department with preparation of Individual, Corporate, Partnership and State Tax Returns for mid-market organizations.
- Effectively compile information requests for clients to make the return process as smooth as possible
- Prepare financial statement audits
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- CPA (or progress towards is required)
- 3+ years of public accounting experience.
