Job Details:
Currently seeking an Electrical Engineer at our brand new 117,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility
- Provide Sales and customers with technical support Electrical products (motors, drives, controllers, and Robot electrical systems). This includes system start and troubleshooting at customer locations.
- Tests new products including motors, drives and controllers.
- Assesses compatibility of 3rd party drives and controllers with Hiwin Electric motors. This includes testing, qualifying and documenting such 3rd party products.
- Meet with customers to review product requirements, training and trouble-shooting on product design and function. Some travel may be required.
- Documents all project information for the successful completion of each job. Maintains engineering files containing customer criteria and specifications, drawings, and compliance to Electrical codes.
- Test motors, drives and controllers against drawing and customer specification. Documents all necessary modifications.
- Attends product review meetings. Provides feedback pertaining to product design
Job Qualifications:
Experience
- Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree required;
- At least 2 years electrical engineering experience preferably in the Electric motor and drive design field;
- Strong knowledge of Electric motors; in particular DC motors, AC servo motors, Synchronous PM torque motors, and stepper motors;
- Strong knowledge of related drives including AC Servo Drives and Inverters;
- Good knowledge of Feedback Control systems & Theory (Servo Systems);
- Good knowledge of feedback control of electric motors and Industrial controllers such as Beckhoff, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Delta Tau, and Siemens;
- Good knowledge of multi axis controllers and controller protocols (ModBus, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP....)
- Prior experience with Industrial controller programming and implementation.
