Test Automation Engineer
My client has a full time opening for a Test Automation Engineer. You must be a Citizen or GC holder to qualify. This role will involve the following:
- Collaborate with Client Services, Technology Development and Product Development to define QA requirements and test data against which to test solutions in all environments including UAT;
- Assure quality by supporting software developers, database developers, product experts, and management on the design and specifications of features and functionality;
- Define the production QA automation and then test said automation prior to implementation;
- Define test environment configuration.Perform defect analysis, identifying trends and recommending process improvements.
- Develop and execute thorough test plans in a timely and efficient manner for internal and customer facing products;
- Report defects and track their progress through Jira
- Prepare test cases and test data to implement regression tests and performance tests, including automation and integration into CICD pipeline, identify and resolve test environment issues.
- Research new technologies and incorporate that new knowledge into your ongoing QA process.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent education and experience
- Five (5) years of related software quality assurance experience
- Experience in Automation testing framework (Selenium, Cucumber, Speckflow, etc.)
- Database testing experience for backend SQL (Oracle, MS SQLServer, or MySQL)
- Experience in API and WebServices testing (e.g. Postman/SOAP testing)
- Experience with Load/Performance testing and smoke testing in Production environment
- Experience with Mobile testing
- Experience in a scripting language (Powershell, groovy, javascript, etc.) a plus
- Experience in testing application builds in the Cloud (Azure, AWS, etc.) a plus
