We are a world class controls and automation system integrator which helps companies optimize their manufacturing and automation processes. 

The Controls Sales Engineer will plan and implement a successful electromechanical sales program in designated market segments.  This position will work closely with manufactuirng, Marketing, Engineering, and other departments supporting growth of the organization.  This includes, but is not limited to sales plans, focused marketing plans, new customer development, and product development. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Support current and additional customers as needed.
  • Communicate solutions and direction.
  • Identify and assist in the development of new controls solutions for a given market.
  • Spread solutions throughout  network.
  • Assist in organizing, training, and providing direction to specialists.
  • Conduct field visits to obtain information and to drive sales.
  • Monitor and track progress of  opportunities using various reports.
  • Work to build positive relationships with key customers in the markets.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology is preferred.
  • Three to five years’ experience in field support of  motion control automation applications.
  • Three to five years’ experience in solving  motion control automation applications.
  • Thorough knowledge networking and hardware connectivity in regards to automation controllability.
  • Ability to present and sell automation products.
  • Thorough knowledge of how Sales interacts and works with other departments.
  • Ability to gather information and organize it in a presentable manner.
  • A solid understanding of the sales process and the sales funnel required.
  • Ability to work well with others is required.
  • In depth knowledge of industrial automation.
  • Ability to identify and define processes with the manufacturing function.
  • Ability to work with distributors to help increase sales and penetration within each segment required.
