Senior Insurance Auditor
Role:
As a Senior Insurance Auditor and part of the audit team, you will gain specialized knowledge through collaboration with internal and external clients. You'll work with companies to get to know their businesses, and then assure that the financial information they report to the public is clear and reliable.
Tasks:
- Assist with examining audit records and income statements.
- Participate in audit teams that test internal controls to ensure effectiveness.
- Recognize potential audit issues or unusual relationships from the analysis of complex financial statements and communicate them to the team.
- Inform supervisors of the engagement status.
- Clearly and accurately document the execution of specific audit procedures as defined by the engagement objectives and the client’s engagement history.
- Identify gaps, deficiencies or non-compliance in business procedures, processes or systems, and communicate appropriate remedial action.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years of prior public accounting experience and/or corporate audit or accounting within the insurance industry
- Certifications are a plus (CPA or CIA)
