Job Details:
ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR
Seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator with 7-10 years’ experience estimating electrical industrial-commercial projects in our New Jersey office.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Estimating mid to large commercial projects
Applying estimating best practices and procedures
Reviewing and/or tackling take-offs
Coordinating project scope with materials and local/national codes
Visiting project sites as needed
Handling requests for information (RFIs) during bid process
Qualifying quotes for special materials and sub-contracts
Preparing proposal letters, bid forms and turnover packages, etc.
Meeting with and interacting with customers
Contributing to process improvements
Candidate Requirements:
A 4-year college degree in construction management or electrical engineering
5+ years of industrial/commercial electrical estimating experience
Effective communication skills—written and verbal
Knowledge of blueprints, specifications, codes and regulations
Proficient computer skills and exposure to MS Office and Accubid (Pro 13 or later a plus)
Practical commercial electrical experience
