Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Role:
The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant will report to a Financial Reporting Manager and be primarily responsible for the organizations reporting activities in accordance with GAAP and IFRS, the monthly close process, financial statement disclosures, income statement, cash flow, inter company reporting, as well supporting both internal and external audits.
Responsibilities:
- Applies advanced accounting concepts to draft and maintain accounting documentation which describes in technical detail the company's strategy and testing processes
- Performs technical accounting research to conclude on and write position papers regarding the accounting treatment
- Perform month end close, account reconcilations, and support the organization's audits
- Support best accounting practices in accordance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS
- Produces the statement of cash flows on a quarterly basis
- Work on derivative close
- Generates financial statement disclosures on instruments and accounting for the company's SEC filings (10-K and 10-Q)
- Prepares quarterly balance sheet and income statement variance analytics for activity
- Journal entry review and approval
- Develop and standardize a chart of accounts, and assure consistency of reporting among business units in accordance with US GAAP
- Participate in various special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree is required. Master's or MBA is a plus
- 4+ years of relevant auditing or public accounting experience with publicly traded clients and/or within a publicly traded organization.
- CPA or progress towards is highly preferred
