Seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer out of a manufacturing/fabrication setting with a background in designing processing equipment.
Job Duties:
- Make sure designs and blue prints meet customer requirements before production begins
- Use Solidworks to design industrial process equipment
- Select materials
- Create a plan to meet the project specifications and timelines
- Conduct meetings with project team as needed
- Maintain budgets
- Help oversee material flow & requirements
- Interface with all departments involved in the manufacturing process
- Keep clients updated on the progress of the work and their point of contact throughout the project
- Be present on the manufacturing and fabrication floor throughout production
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree (Engineering Degree preferred)
- 5+ years experience in a manufacturing and fabrication environment
- Solidworks experience
- ASME Code experience
- Job shop experience
- Understanding of welding
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skillss
- Proven experience meeting budgets and deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
