Job Details:
BIM Coordinator - MEP Design - Revit
- Coordination of CAD drawings for one of our piping trades using the structural, architectural and mechanical contract documents.
- Broad knowledge of at least one specific trade (Plumbing, HVAC and/or Fire Protection) and general knowledge of the other trades involved in the coordination process; and should have a comprehensive understanding of the Massachusetts state building codes.
- Handle a project from the start to completion and may be required to assist other office departments such as estimating, pre-fabrication and shipping.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to draw in 3D.
- Check contract drawings for thoroughness and code compliance
- Identify added costs to the project and advise project management of same
- Review documents, identify issues/questions, and write RFIs to the GC/Architect/Engineer
- Set up project files and keep updated documentation throughout the duration of the project
- Prefer someone to come out of a mechanical contractor - construction outfit.
