PROJECT ESTIMATOR
Large commercial construction general contractor is actively seeking an experienced Project Estimator for their Rockland County, NY office.
Successful Project Estimator will:
Be able to read, interpret and develop scope of work from plans and specifications.
Prepare bid packages and solicitations to vendors/subs.
Review bid requirements, R.F.I’s and thoroughly ask follow-up questions to ensure a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned.
Well-organized, self-motivated individual with ability to work in a team environment
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and material supplier quotes Follow up on submitted bids and budgets with potential clients.
Provide project documents that are complete and accurate
Requirements:
7-10 years of successful experience as a commercial construction Project Estimator
Must have ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to establish priorities
Must be able to work calmly within deadlines and under pressure
Must be a self-starter who can perform independently and as a team member
Strong customer service skills
Must possess strong analytical skills, as attention to detail is critical
Analyze problems; make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risk implications & costs
