Assistant Electrical Estimator
Liberty Personnel Services has been retained by a leading New Jersey based Electrical Construction Contractor to find a skilled Assistant Electrical Estimator.
Summary:
The Assistant Electrical Estimator transfers take off data from estimating software to Microsoft Excel and distributes data to Purchasing Department. He or she works with Chief Estimator to prepare bid documents, plans, scope of work and generate electrical bids and take-offs. Enters light fixture bid data into Microsoft Excel. Ensures bid data, take offs, plans, and other necessary project information is distributed to all departments as required. Assists lead estimator with other tasks and duties as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze existing bid data and use it to assemble take offs in Excel
Distribute take off and bid data to Purchasing staff
Prepare work to be estimated by gathering drawings, specifications, and related documents
Review bid documents prior to bidding, checking for completeness and accuracy
Assist Lead Estimator in the preparation of estimates
Provide assistance and documentation to Project Managers, Purchasing Staff, or other departments as needed
Review pricing of change proposals and change orders
Other responsibilities as required
