Job Details:
The Mechanical Process Engineer will play a leading role in continuously improving the Quality, Safety, Distribution, Manufacturing and installation processes to improve customer experience and cost reduction purposes. Work with managers and vendors to identify and implement changes needed to introduce and sustain improvements. The Process Engineer will need to be proficient in not only the academic principles of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, but also the application of these skills in a fast paced environment.
Duties
- Develop process and quality specifications of new processes and / or products thru manufacturing trials to develop a product/process that is repeatable and meets expectations of the application.
- Design, execute, and document process improvement trials and initiatives to reduce costs
- Assist in the root cause analysis of Quality Complaints and the development of Alternative Raw Materials.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives to eliminate waste of value streams.
- Ensure new products meet application requirements and implement protocols
- Support Manufacturing Documentation to ensure accuracy of Bill of Materials, Processing, Quality, and Packaging Specifications
- Provide leadership in maintenance and facility management including preventative programs.
- Be a project manager on key projects as they are assigned including but not limited to expansion into new markets, acquisition and consolidation.
Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent combination of Technical Degree and work experience.
At least five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
