Superintendent
Description
Superintendents are directly responsible for setup and management of the daily activities of assigned projects resulting in work that is completed on-time, profitably, and of award winning caliber. Superintendents have the primary responsibility for overall safety, schedule management, field operations, subcontractor management, financial management, and assist in estimating and purchasing when needed. Superintendents also leverage their expertise to mentor and foster an environment of on-going learning and development on their teams.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management and/or equivalent experience
- 5+ Years of progressively responsible field operations experience in general contracting environment, including, at a minimum, verifiable experience managing projects over $5M. Experience with similar project and market type or projects of a larger size may be required for some positions
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to create, update and manage construction schedules. Experience with P6 a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to establish priorities, meet firm deadlines, and problem-solve
- Strong people skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
- Must be goal oriented and a self-starter
