Kernel System Software Engineer
My client a global leader is hiring a systems level software engineer. The best candidates will have strong C programming skills, a thorough understanding of operating systems and kernel programming, a understanding of hardware and excellent communication and planning skills. The successful candidate will work closely with other software engineers to design, develop, debug and deploy many systems.
The candidate can expect to be heavily involved through all aspects of driver development, such as creating new programming models, leveraging new hardware features and optimizing for performance.
The candidate should be eager to learn about, and contribute to, the design of new compute and graphics drivers and new GPU architectures.
What we need to see:
o BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree
o 2+ years of system software or related development experience
o Excellent C programming skills
o Low-level operating system knowledge, particularly a strong understanding of memory/resource management, scheduling and process control
o Experience with complex system-level debugging
o Strong knowledge of computer system and hardware/software interfaces
o Experience with multi-node interconnect technologies and parallel programming
o Experience with Linux operating system kernels
GPA in 3.5+ range is preffered
