QA Technician - Food Manufacturing - New Jersey
A leading food and beverage manufacturer has an immediate need for a skilled Quality Assurance Technician to ensure quality and food safety compliance. Primary responsibilities include:
- Conduct incoming ingredient and packaging materials sampling, review, hold and release process.
- Facilitate hold process for ingredients, in-process materials, finished and packaged products.
- Maintain sample retains of finished products.
- Monitor and record product weights, quality, and sensory as part of daily product showing.
- Routine decisions related to product quality and safety
- Provide on-line operator guidance in GMPs, allergen controls and other food safety issues.
- Collect, analyze and communicate results to key functional groups.
- Perform on-line inspections to ensure legible code dates for proper traceability.
Qualified candidates must possess:
- HS Diploma required. Associates Degree in Food Science preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of quality standards and government regulations.
