Microsoft Azure Cloud Architect
My Client is currently searching for a Cloud Architect with expertise in Microsoft Azure to support the implementation of DevOps / Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery cloud environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge, enterprise-level technology solutions in support of creating a continuous integration/continuous delivery environment based on IT infrastructure shared services.
Drive architectural discussions with internal customers in support of business requirements gathering, analysis, and design.
Architect highly scalable, available, and elastic Azure Cloud solutions based on industry best practices and practical experience.
Take ownership for the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of proposed solutions.
Collaborate with Developers, Systems Operations, and other subject matter experts to solve integration challenges and develop robust automated scripts and supporting documentation.
Assess current architecture and existing applications to assess “cloud readiness;” work with Developers and Systems Operations to create migration paths and interim solutions for a large and diverse portfolio of custom applications.
Create and maintain technical documentation of recommendations and solutions; write specifications, how-to documentation, test plans, test reports, and best-practices.
Provide training for developers and systems operations personnel.
Assist in system security review, testing, remediation efforts, and overall risk mitigation.
Coordinate with Systems Operations and Developers to address concerns; train on new tools, technologies, and processes; and prevent negative impacts to service.
Configure alarms, triggers, and scaling policies and procedures for cloud resources.
Develop and provide relevant management reports to support the project mission.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related business, scientific, or technical discipline
3+ years of experience in an Azure Cloud Architect role implementing complex technology environments
3+ years of experience providing production-ready continuous integration/continuous delivery solutions using cloud services from Microsoft Azure and competing technologies
5+ years prior experience in a senior technical role, demonstrating the technical design and practical implementation of complex infrastructure solutions in an enterprise environment
Applicable certifications to demonstrate technical competencies
Experience with technology product evaluation, selection, acquisition and deployment processes
Thorough documentation and technical writing skills; experience preparing technical design, implementation, system administration and operational documentation
Expert understanding of enterprise architecture, Azure Cloud Architect, and continuous integration/continuous delivery environments
Ability to learn new cloud stacks and technologies quickly and apply previous experience/understanding to new situations.
